Fifth up? Jewels, (@jewelszee on Instagram) is an Aussie mother of two teenage daughters, proving that it's never too late to follow your dreams. Jewels definitely has the dream job, getting paid to travel and photograph various destinations and share them across her social media platforms. We caught up with Jewels in the Q&A below.
How would you define your aesthetic?
I'm a great believer in the power of positivity, kindness and sharing joy and love with everyone... the colorful aesthetic of my work partners perfectly with good vibes.
Favorite place you have ever visited and why?
EEEEK! 'Favorite' questions are the hardest! My favorite place is usually wherever I am in the moment! If I had to choose one, from my most recent travels, it would be the Whare Kea Chalet in the Southern Alps of New Zealand, near Lake Wanaka. I can't even begin to describe why.... the mountains, the snow, the light, the friends, the food... sigh.... just sublime.
Favorite souvenir you've ever picked up along your travels and why?
Hmmmmm, I'm not much of a collector of manmade things but I do love to collect little trinkets from nature like rocks, shells, pieces of wood, I guess my favorite at the moment is this little piece of coral I found on the beach of Yasawa Island in Fiji. The ocean is my favorite place in the world and Fiji has some of the most amazing life underwater that I have ever seen!
A favorite fun fact you've learned during your journeys?
I never remember these things! Ok, here's one... Did you know that there is a place in Fiji where you can stand with one foot in the current time, and one foot in the past? True story! In Taveuni, there is such a place.
Your favorite charm on the Traveler Bracelet and what does it mean to you?
I love the piece of coral of course! I wish I were a mermaid sometimes! If only I'd seen a piece that red in my travels!

One piece of advice for those who wish to travel the world?
'Don't give up what you want most, for what you want now.' I tell my girls this all the time! I believe if you want something enough, anything is possible if you work hard and consistently towards making it happen! Be courageous and gracious, and know that life really is too short not to travel and experience as much as you can of our beautiful world!
